At some point in your life you will end up renovating or do do-it-yourself jobs around the house. You might search for advice, a professional craftsman or are in need of materials. Maybe even all three of these things. Bylder is a home renovation platform that offers all of it.
Bylder is a workflow management system that allows for users to create renovations or projects, determine tasks and book the best matched professionals. Professionals can upload showcases of the work they have done, which users can browse for inspiration. The website is a accompanied by a webshop to buy materials.
For Bylder, Wolfpack built a mobile first redesign using Vue.js and implemented multiple back-end extensions such as the showcases for professionals.
Bylder’s front-end is build using Vue.js (pronounced as view). Vue is a progressive framework for building user interfaces. Unlike other monolithic frameworks as Angular.js and Ember, Vue is designed from the ground up to be incrementally adoptable.
The core library focuses on the view layer only, and as such is easy to pick up and integrate with other libraries or existing projects. Nevertheless, Vue is thoroughly capable of powering complicated Single-Page Applications (SPA’s) when used in combination with modern tooling and supporting libraries.
