With smartphones taking over the world by storm, businesses need to cater to their customers in more ways than ever. Looking to expand your business by adding an app to your portfolio or want to start up something entirely new and target the mobile market, we can help you out! We can provide you with advice, designs, and development for apps in any way, shape or form. As the developer of our own product MedApp, and numerous previous projects we have an enormous amount of experience conceptualizing, designing and building apps on all the major platforms. In an ever changing market, with new code languages, frameworks or platforms it is our mission to stay relevant and move with the developments.
MedApp is the largest app for medication and healthcare in the Netherlands and is actively used by thousands of people every day. Wolfpack develops and maintains MedApp as an in-house product, with dedicated developers. Their knowledge and enthusiasm translates throughout Wolfpack and is indicative for how we operate.
We make any App you need!
Whether you’re looking for a Web-App or a Native App, Android or iOS we can make it for you. Don’t know what you want exactly? We can help you with that as well. We always work closely with the customer to come to the best solution for them.
Android’s core programming language is Java, supported by XML files. Android was built to support many different devices (Samsung, Sony, Huawei etc.). This makes it very versatile but it also brings a major challenge. To support all those devices you need rock solid code and consistent testing. Generally speaking Android accepts much more freedom in development.
iOS has a smaller and closed ecosystem making it easier to manage in terms of device support. However, iOS users tend to expect a much higher quality user experience. The UI guidelines are more strict than Android’s and apps need the look and feel of the operating system. Together, Android and iOs make up about 99% of the smartphone market which makes it often essential to make an application for both.
Web Apps are essentially a website that is optimized for mobile phones or tablets and made to look like an app, by using standard phone interface designs. There are many advantages to Web Apps:
- Always up to date
- No download required
- All-in-one control over website and app
- Low barrier of entry for the user
- Cheaper to develop for all platforms
Upon install, users judge an app in just a couple of minutes. Users expect an easy to understand app with an excellent user experience right out of the box. This calls out for a very goal oriented and professional project approach. We can only achieve such high quality demand by collaborating closely with our clients and the end users. For most projects we use an Agile approach meaning the development is split up in sprints with involvement from the client along the way.
We make a full analysis of the problem and provide you with a indication of price and timelines.
Sprint 0 is one of the most important steps in the process. A team of our best wolves work with you to create a detailed blueprint for the project.
If everything is in order we can start the development. We work in sprints delivering working products every 1-2 weeks, gradually working towards full completion.
After all development is finished we deliver the product to you. Because of the continous sprints you have already seen each element functioning, ensuring a smooth launch.
We always start our process with several hands-on workshops with our client to get the idea and goals of the app straight. An app needs a clear focus so we pick the functionalities that have most value for the end user and try to exclude any secondary (unnecessary) features.
If possible we actively involve the end user in this process to discover their true needs.
Once we have a general feel of what the app has to become our designers go to drawing table and start making mock-ups. We discuss these mockups with the end users for feedback. We may also create realistic clickable prototypes to test the functionalities of the app in an early phase. App development is an iterative process. We go back to the drawing table if we learn the prototype does not cover the expected experience.
As soon as the prototypes and concept of the app are in line with the end users expectations we continue by developing the end product. Depending on the needs of the client we may build a webapp, native app or use hybrid app technologies like Phonegap and react native to be able to iterate more quickly in a later stage of the development process. The end product can be created for various app platforms (Web, Windows, iOS, Android etc.).
